Finals are finally done! finally a chance to catch my breath and not have to worry about a bunch of different deadlines. there are still things that need to be taken care of but the stress is not as bad. One of the things I want to work on with the time off with school is my PT certificate. i have not been able to work on it for some time because I’ve had to put to the side because I had too much on my plate at the time but now is the perfect time to work on that and try to get it done before going back to the grind that is school.
Update on my current reads; I’m about a quarter of the way into Kenobi. I thought the beginning dragged because it set us in Tatooine with characters that I didn’t know and I was expecting just to be in the mind of obi-wan. It took a few chapters but he did finally show up and I absolutely am excited for it. The writer definitely captured the character of obi-wan; contemplative yet snarky and sarcastic at the perfect times. I’m interested to see what happens now that we know a little bit about the antagonist. I haven’t really read into Peter Pan this week just because of time constraints but its slowly going. With the audiobook I’m listening to, Star Wars a path to destruction, I’m still liking the narration but right now its still building up the new characters and new conflict so its just rolling now.
Also, finally got myself a heart rate chest monitor and I love it already. I ran three times this week. once without and twice with the monitor and I noticed a difference already on my fatigue levels because I have made it my goal to stay below 153 bpm. with the more accurate reading I ran a bit quicker and for a little longer the second time I used it because I was able to push myself a little faster than I thought I could yet stay under the redline. im so excited to see how this will improve my fitness. Now with the end of the year coming my new goal is to lower my weight again. Right now I’m sitting at 194 and my end goal is going to be 165. That will be including 3-4 days of running and 3-4 days of lifting. on lifting days I will be working on strength work. i want to keep all the strength that I have gained in this time of lifting so it can translate into running.
Other than that, I hope to finish Kenobi this week and hopefully Peter Pan. it shouldn’t be a long read and should take a few hours of dedicated reading. I will also be working on my PT certificate and share the most interesting things I learn on here. Anyways thanks for reading! have a great week! God bless!
